Nature's Views
Nature fascinates me. It doesn't matter whether it is the varied landscapes from different parts of the country - the seasonal changes - or the daily sunrises and sunsets. These 'shows' from nature and the local wildlife that inhabit it are free outside my window.

I just listed this ACEO on Ebay. It is part of a new series of sunset and sunrise affordable collectible mini paintings I have started which try to capture and share the beauty of Nature in our area.
ACEO stands for Art Cards Editions and Originals
We have such beautiful sunrise and sunset skies here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In this painting, - just as the sun is beginning to set - the birds all seem determined to play a last game of tag in the sky before they settle in for the night. Watching the birds and the beautiful sky colors is my favorite way to end the day.

Still wet outside - some rain - lots of fog - little sun
I was hoping for a crisp, sunny, winter day in Hendersonville, N.C. - but it looks like today is not one of them. Even the birds seem to be in short supply today. Usually our house feels as if it were located in an aviary - with constant bird traffic by every window.
But that does make it a good day to reminisce about our wonderful vacation in Colorado last month. The colors were so different than I was used to seeing here in the Blue Ridge mountains.
These are photos from Bingham Lake in Parker, Colorado. It is a very pretty place that I would visit frequently if I lived nearby. It feels like a great place to escape the stress of everyday life and just enjoy the peace of nature.
